When [unsuccessfully] hunting for a suitable Ed McMahon link to honor his lifetime on the day of his announced passing, I think I had stumbled across this at least a few dozen times.
Sad. Aside from being a good cheerleader for Johnny, he was a retired officer in the Marines Reserve, a great humanitarian with a record of volunteerism and charitable giving. He also did quite well for himself as a pitchman and as a host for syndicated shows.
