oh SCORE! i sooo knew who this guy was as soon as i saw his art:
1) i think the art is pretty cool! twisted, yes. But extemely creative!
2) yes, the guy does do art for album covers..i only know of one but i'm sure there has been others
3) The one i know of is Michael Jackson's Dangerous CD. If you have ever seen the cover of that CD it's pretty cool and that's how i knew who the guy was.

And you think you could do better? I personally think it's great art. Just because it doesn't fit your ideals and you find it disturbing doesn't mean it isn't art. If anything, art that evokes such strong feelings is the best.

Okay. So...how does someone sell art? Wait...I've got an idea! How about, we get a lot of people really pissed about it, so that they go around complaining about how 'horrid' it is. Then, everyone will know about it, think its 'hot', and most likely buy it. There is, after all, no such thing as 'bad publicity". I think that if Mark Ryden saw that comment, he'd probably think about thanking you. Because he got out of you exactly what I think he wants from you...anger. If they are so pedophillic and tasteless, unoriginal, then why is it that you want to strangle him. I've never heard of anyone getting so upset for stumbling over something that is bland.

Mark Ryden is neither a 'sicko or a 'child molester.' He is a talented genius with a serious eye for the absurd and the divine. Thank the gods that there are people in this world willing to trip the depths of disturbing iconic imagery, a place where most people who would wrongly consider themselves normal fear to tread, lest they should get their socks bloody. It just fucks your tight puckered mind holes WIDE open, dont it muggles?

wow either you guys either really like Rydens work or you really hate it. i must say that i myself really liked it. Im not really one to go into an indepth study of what it all means i just liked looking at them. It was shocking and disturbing and quite lovely i must say.
