Not Working?
He's right, if Outback were truly Australian, the food would taste horrible and the wait staff would be convicted felons.

Re: Australian vs. Outback Steakhouse
haha, what a couple of assholes, their inferiority complexes all inflamed by a stupid theme restaurant. The joke is on them. No one gives a sh-t.

Re: Australian vs. Outback Steakhouse
I'm sorry I can't get over this: who's calling who "fuck-wits."
If it's Australia's worst vs. America's worst, who knows, maybe their bottom isn't as low? But on the other end of the spectrum: Aussies, guys, you might want to button those lips, you haven't exactly proven yourselves a brain trust.

Yeah, and I suppose that you Yanks are internationally reknowned for your cultural refinement and intellectual superiority.

Its got a laugh track, too, stylish. The concept was funny. the jokes were not.

Re: Australian vs. Outback Steakhouse
The ultimate irony is that the buffoon didn't have to come to America to eat Outback Steakhouse. They have locations in Australia.
Do'ah.

Re: Australian vs. Outback Steakhouse
What a bunch of assholes. When I see a place that claims to be "American" overseas I don't get all bent out of shape that it doesn't serve every single thing that Americans eat rather than any local favorites.

Re: Australian vs. Outback Steakhouse
It's a studio audience, not a laugh track as such.
Australians dont kid themselves about having any kind of national cuisine. Burnt, barbequed sausages slathered in tomato sauce is what most Aussies would think of when you say 'Australian Cuisine'. The Outback Steakhouse is laughable only when people assume it is an 'Australian Experience', not just a gimmicky, fast-food chain.
These guys are poking fun at Australian 'culture' (or lack of it) and how it's perceived overseas. They're being ironic, not getting on any high-horse. =)
Still, funny concept, shame about the execution.

Re: Australian vs. Outback Steakhouse
Well, not all that different than how Canadians behave... Rick Mercer was largely the same thing with "Talking to Americans." This seemed to be a cross of his show and mtvs jackass.

"Analyzing humor is like dissecting a frog. Few people are interested and the frog dies of it." - EB White.
But I'll just say this... it should only be watched in context. Unless you've seen the show you would of course feel insulted.
It's funny how stuff like this seems to bring the racism out in some people though.
