Amanda had never seen a Star Wars film but claims she already knows what happens. So she was asked recount what she know. It was then given some basic animation.

Re: Star Wars: Retold
That homoerotic scene between Hans and Luke must be in the director's cut.

Re: Star Wars: Retold

Re: Star Wars: Retold
Regardless of his nerd-dom, anyone that believes Lucas DIDN'T sell out is a fool. He invented the term sellout.
If you're tired of all the merchandising bs that goes along with with even the most retarded films and such, blame him. He created that entire industry. And if you look at the his films post-Empire, its obvious he is a total sellout.
Hell, he wasn't even happy with Empire. We have the beautiful movie that Empire Strikes Back is, because Lucas did NOT direct. I wish he had continued to stay away from the directors chair.

Yeah... it's sad it's getting to a point that some people (myself included) are now reduced to look under piles of dust after the first classic edition of the first trilogy where Lucas didn't add the extra aweful CGI scenes. The contrast between the classic and new scenes smells like vomit to me. I just don't feel like watching Starwars anymore because of those.

Re: Star Wars: Retold
Was there ever a time Lucas was just "doing it for the kids"? There have always been Star Wars action figures and schwag, it was planned from the start. He didn't "sell-out" because his motivation has never changed, he's always been about merchandising.
Call him money-grubbing if you must, but don't call him a sell-out, that would imply the existence of some previous code of ethics.
Anyway this clip is pretty awesome.
