"We only have our trousers off, we should pursue this." ---well said.

As with any interview I've seen with Bill-O, barely scrapes the surface.

Unfortunately, it's not just him. Interviewers, news commentators, and reporters throughout the entire scope of the media are guilty of reducing stories down to talking points and getting it all out before the next commercial. It's a non-partisan affliction. Bill-O and Keith-O are equally as guilty of it. It's not just TV. This is my single biggest pet peeve when I listen to NPR. Newspapers are getting thinnner and thinner. Anyone and their brother can post whatever they want on the internet. I wonder if it's better to live blissfully ignorant in a cabin in the woods?

Re: Christopher Hitchens vs Bill O'Reilly on Torture
I despise Bill O, he is patently and intentionally dishonest, and it has been proven many times. Christoper Hitchens is a genius, and should probably be in charge because he is right 99 percent of the time.

BUT, Bill did make a good point this time, and it WAS NOT addressed. The Geneva Convention applies to soldiers in uniform, paid soldiers, not terrorists or civilians.

So, did Hitchens gloss over it because it has already been addressed and these individuals are considered eligible for the conventions protections, OR do we need to introduce this element of non-traditional combatants into the discussion? Has this issue been addressed and put to bed already, or has it been ignored?

This is so "1984". You'd think Hitchens (of all people!) would be wise to it.
