Absolute classic! I was in middle school when this was new, and I remember an urban legend about some guy who dressed up as Homey the Clown and would drive around town kidnapping kids. Supposedly he drove a hearse with eyes painted on the back and had a brick in his beating sock. Was this just in my area, or did anyone else hear about this too?
