Mac vs Pc
Inspired by Transformers, this short Visual Effects piece shows us what really goes on inside our home computers ... that's right, they're robots, and they wanna beat the f#!@ out of each other.

A short movie written and directed by Dan Chianelli and Nick Greenlee.

I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me.

I just saw my buddy's linux-based comp transform the other day---into a stoned open-sourced hippy that just sat there. Not too exciting, but we managed to score some decent goodies off him.

Re: Mac vs Pc
While I agree the storyline was definitely lame, the animation and compositing was pretty good. They've got a really good grasp on lighting and meshing their animation with real world environments. The animation itself, I wouldn't say was top notch, but it was good. And they used creative camera angles and cuts to hide most of their deficiencies. Not to say they don't know how to animate, but detailed animation is very time intensive.

Bottom line, though the story was rather lame, the modeling was very good, and both the lighting and compositing were excellent. I give it a 4/5.

Saw this one a while back...

Good video, though I do hope that there will be another one with maybe Linux involved as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of this, so long as they get a writer.
