You're assuming that she was singing about herself simply because it was in first person?

Great song, great satire, but the video is dull. Too many fast cuts. Does anyone else hate when they go to the trouble of choreographing something, only to cut it to pieces in the editing room? *Cough *Cough *Moulin Rouge

I used to not like her videos. You're right about the cuts, also the choreography itself, the smoke bombs ect is all awful and tacky, it's TOO awful and tacky that after watching a few more of her vids I suspect the guy making them is actually doing it all on purpose and making it a style.

Thanks Gerry Was! That's entertainment. Clear concept, simple choreography, and unobtrusive editing. I get your point about stylistic choice, though I'm still not sold on "The Fear" vid. It's a great album, though -- gotta hand it to the girl.

Definitely. Moulin Rouge sux cuz the crazy non-stop pace. This song actually has a hypnotic LFO sequencer pumping so I feel reflective when I hear it. I think older style like a musical might have been better with slower pacing on the cuts. Shots straight from above like they used to do.

ok I guess they did do the birds eye view shot a little. But they used to make cooler formations in the 50s that would pulsate and look great. I think its too saturated too. But maybe its all on purpose its kinda hard to tell. I think the director is trying to just be playful and light like spike jones.
