Carbon Dating Doesn't Work: Debunked!
Living snails that carbon-date to 2,300 years old, a living seal that was carbon-dated at 1,300 years old, and 8,000-year-old living penguins. Not to mention dinosaur bones that dated to 20,000 years ago. Obviously carbon dating doesn't work, unless you understand it.

Here's the explanation that even a 5th-grader can understand.

Ah, our old buddy Ken Hovind. What, like we didn't think his 'science' could be picked apart by something less difficult than a yawn?

I carbon dated your mom last night. She doesn't have half as much as she used to, but she's aged well.

Re: Carbon Dating Doesn't Work: Debunked!
Maybe they should carbon date his belief system and discover that a 1000 years BEFORE Christ, the Egyptians had a belief in a god that was born in a stable to a virgin on DEC 25th. His entire religion is stolen from cultures that existed thousands of years before Christ was supposedly born.

But, he will ignore that fact and press on. Amen.

Re: Carbon Dating Doesn't Work: Debunked!
Dec 25 is Germanic not Egyptian. Dec 25 never was apart of the christian tradition untill Klovis tried to get the Germanic tribes to accept it and the germans then mixed it with their previous pagan traditions eg. Christmas tree, santa claus, and Hell. (the nordic god of the underworld's name was Hell)

Re: Carbon Dating Doesn't Work: Debunked!
December 25 is important because it is the first day that days start getting longer in the winter.

(I'm not disagreeing with you, just adding info)

Taken from wikipedia:

Sol Invictus: The Romans held a festival on December 25 of Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, "the birthday of the unconquered sun." December 25 was the date after the winter solstice,[2] with the first detectable lengthening of daylight hours.

Re: Carbon Dating Doesn't Work: Debunked!
December 25th has a long long history to it as does the spring solstice, it is neither Germanic or Egyptian exclusively, but is connected to almost any belief system in the world somewhere at the roots.

You could also present him with the fact that Theologians know and will freely tell you that Jesus was not birthed from a Virgin, rather he was birthed from a Young Woman. There was a mix-up somewhere along the way where the original Hebrew word (meaning Young Woman) was translated into the Greek word for Virgin.

... The more you know!

All hail Horus! Born of a virgin, son of gods... and 3,000 years older than Jesus.

"An article from an article", I'm convinced.

"Here's an article from Chri..., um, an article." Big Jerry the Answer Guy almost stumbled and publicly cited his source as ChristianAnswers.net. Sometimes an unreferenced fact is more convincing.
