Man you can really see where Bill Hicks gets a lot of his inspiration and stage presence.

Two different acts (though I am not being argumentative here) and it's somewhat debatable as to who copied from whom. But although Kinison died almost two years before Hicks did, he also started standup far later because of his earlier career as a preacher.

Agreed, the content and topic of their acts are like night and day. However when watching Bill and Sam side by side, its almost eerie to see how similar the tone, stage presence, confidence and sometimes exasperation they exude on the stage is.
I would imagine that if i had not known that the two knew each other, i would have thought their styles were oddly similar.
I am not suggesting this is in a "someone copied someone" kind of way but in a manner that two people who were close friends and shared similar humor would gravitate toward a more perfect comedy.
