I first had the vision to build a robot while working as an engineer on the old Mini Coopers in the late 1960s.
There were no real robots at the time of course, so it was purely science-fiction.

Word on Slashdot is this is a marketing campaign for the Mini. The owner of the site is an ad agency in London. It's a good fake though.

Popular Science Magazine had a link to the site in a recent issue. They later said they were paid to include it.

Mini Cooper has come out and admited it was fake and that it was just a marketing scheme. If you don't believe me just go to their site and they have a game where you can make your own. It was a good hoax though and got alot of peoples atention. LOL
