Re: How It's Made: Milk
What happens to the cows that are birthed? If the females become daily cows, do the male ones become veal? How humane are their conditions?
After the 6 years of a dairy cows use, what happens to them? Are they slaughtered?

Appreciated on the insertion of "unusually" in the description rather than pulling the submission, boss.
Truth is, while this clip depicts a pretty animal-friendly treatment of the bovines, the vast bulk of factory farms do not. And of course your questions raised that I currently respond to are troubling.
Factory farms are not only typically badly mistreating animals, but they deliver foodstuffs that are devoid of nutrition. If you pump enough hormones and antibiotics into an animal, you end up with tissues that are little more than water, salt and barely alive organelles.
Now, all that controversy aside, did I still find the clip entertaining? Yeah.
