"I couldn't get over the fact that there was no difference between Sylvia's restaurant and any other restaurant in New York City. I mean, it was exactly the same, even though it's run by blacks, primarily black patronship...there wasn't one person in Sylvia's who was screaming, 'M-Fer, I want more iced tea!'"

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between Lil' Bill and Big Bill. Probably because people laughs equally hard at them both.

I wonder if he's really about all that bluster. I keep thinking it's just an act and he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Re: Lil' O'Reilly: Election Results
You are correct. Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, and Rush are all playing characters. If you watch them you can see that it is performance art taken to extremes that even Andy Kaufman couldn't pull off. Colbert does the same thing but he is winking at the audience the entire time. Rush calls his audience Ditto-Heads and is essentially daring you to find the humor in his performance. Controversy sells books so Coulter will make the most bizarre statements while she laughs all the way to the bank. The only right wing agenda they support is money and if they could make as much screaming leftist slogans they would. The only thing scary about it are the people who buy into it and support them without hesitation.

Re: Lil' O'Reilly: Election Results
It is scary that people buy into it so easily. The agenda of all of these people may be broader and more sinister. Anyone who criticizes the actions of the powers that be are labeled unpatriotic, anti-American, terrorist, Islamofascist. Even people who are running for President. Ever since 9/11, and the advent of the war on terror, you're either scrambling to prove your a "real American," or you're a threat to America.

Dissent=sedition=terrorism.

Just nod along with the talking heads.
