Simply place 8 queens on the board.
Click on a square to lower or raise a queen.
If a queen is in the line of attack of a new queen it will be removed.

I'm pretty sure it's from the page that it's normally hosted on, so you wouldn't see it on m&c (it's outside the flash window)

I got it after messing up only once. If you break the board up, it gets easier. You just have to watch your placement more carefully then.

then i am very lucky.... the first time i played, i just made a mistake once, and finished it in 15 secs.
i was not just randomly placing queens, but i couldnt repeat the feat after 30 minutes, so i guess it was luck...

Its a shame Trilobyte went out of business. We could have had newer versions of 7th guest, 11th hour.. and possibly a 13th floor (or something).

This game is fun. I got it after 5 minutes. Itr wasn't so bad once you figured out the pattern.

This was a puzzle in either The 7th Guest or 11th Hour, I can't remember, but I did it before. Quite easy, actually.
