Medieval Lives: The King
Terry Jones sheds his humorous light on what must be one of the world's best jobs: king. In this eighth and final episode of the acclaimed series, he studies three English kings in particular (Richard I, II, and III), as well as a nearly forgotten king who ruled for little over a year.

Spam and Griff, thank you both for leaving this one in the series for me to submit. Either you are getting forgetful, or (and I like this one better), you acknowledge Your Lord and Master -- rightfully so, I might add.

Yeah, well I knew it was missing... I just didn't find it posted by the same guy as a complete clip (I believe it was something like five minutes short). And thus we leave you table scraps, oh lord and master.

Nah, lowly serf, 'tis video is complete in all its grace. Now goest thou back to plowing the fields, and mind! I'll be around to claim my fair share, up 10% from last year ... and don't hide your daughters ever again, or I'll string you up by yer bootlaces from the tallest oak I can find.

(This comment reads like execrable poetry. Sorry.)

Great stuff. It's fun to discover another version of history.

brings to mind two quotes:

"History is written by the victors" - Churchill

"History is a set of lies agreed upon" -

Napoleon

Re: Medieval Lives: The King
Jones as well as Palin (the cool one) have created a really likeable sort of documentary. No really big surprise there, as I think of them as stunningly likeable guys.
