***** and not just for Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man that started to seep in near the end.

(By the way, this McCain+Palin Rally looked friendly.)

I know CNN's trying to get some o' that Daily Show audience, but this a a brilliant bit, sending a well-spoken African American man to a Palin rally. I just wonder what the responses would have been if he'd have been a white guy in a suit... :)

P.S. I highly recommend D.L. Hughely's "Notes From The G.E.D. Section."

P.P.S. Palin/Hughley 2012? Sounds like Terrence McKenna's and Quetzalcoatl's visions come true... (yes, this is a nerd alert :)

I enjoyed it. He got his zingers in, but his approach was essentially lighthearted and absurdist-- he caught people up their biases and contradictions, but he wasn't meanspirited about it.

Kind of refreshing, actually.

Actually, that's a really good point. Hughley wasn't mean spirited at all. And in our world of O'Reilly and Olbermann, D.L.'s ability to take a humorous but inclusive route to point out potential foibles and even ways we can join together totally hits the spot.

Why was DL Hughley given a news show?

Seriously, I didn't think cable news could get any worse but they should banned or relabeled.
