http://www.ted.com Mihaly Czikszentmihalyi asks, "What makes a life worth living?" Noting that money cannot make us happy, he looks to those who find pleasure and lasting satisfaction in activities that bring about a state of "flow."

Re: Ted Talks: Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi: Creativity, Fulfillment and Flow
A showman he's not, but what he's talking about is fascinating. He's talking about a state that exists separately from happiness called flow, where you lose track of time and find yourself "in the zone." Our attempts at happiness through money or material pleasures are ineffective; Mihaly's talking about finding an activity you enjoy so much that you lose yourself in it.
