Re: Isaac Asimov: Threats to Humanity
A great pair of posts.
I happened to have seen Dennis Miller on a recent California trip and although roughly 30% of his act was a commercial for John McCain, he was at least amusing. But the point being that he's still claiming that global climate change is a farce. I played heckler at one point, asking him why Exxon Mobil is running commercials about how they are becoming a greener company. I know he heard me. The audience reacted. Though not directly responding to me, he said that he may end up as the last man standing who disagrees with Al Gore because studies show that in the last 100 years there was only an average increase in temperature of 1.8 degrees.
Hey shit, I didn't want to ruin his show. I'm not going to change his ming (nor at least half of the audience). But the bottom line is that even the Bush Administration has admitted to the changes in climate (I'll try not to laugh as I type the rest)... there's just no convincing fact that proves it's the result of human activity.
