Faith is confidence in some belief without supporting evidence, or even in the face of contradictory evidence. Sounds like the opposite of reason to me.

Maybe you've heard the infamous quote by Martin Luther - "Reason is the enemy of faith." Or maybe you've read the dozen or so bible verses that claim faith must transcend reason.
