Ballista: Building the Impossible
In 2002, a team of experts and timber framers from Carpenter Oak & Woodland recreated full-size, a working Roman ballista. It was built in just 10 days and was able to fire a limestone ball over 120 yards. This movie is edited from the BBC TV programme 'Building The Impossible' which featured the recreation; it uses the Echo of Souls version of Peter Gabriel's Games without Frontiers as the soundtrack.
