'... oil revenues that are being provided for you by digging holes in the ground. This is good training to be president of Saudi Arabia, not the United States.' I like that one.

I wonder how the people who are/were considering Palin to be a legitimate candidate feel now. Anyone on M&C willing to share? Do you feel you were duped? Or do you feel she's still a legit candidate?

I'm totally interested and swear this isn't a "gotcha" question... :)

But folks here at M&C called it early on that Palin was a disastrous choice who'd first be propped up by media hyperbole (when she was compared to Reagan and Thatcher? ;) and then allowed to crash and implode the GOP ticket based on her true lack of skills and tabloid background - all of which makes for great news ratings and for allowing this election to seem like a legitimate two-party race.

But ultimately, Palin and McCain are just dupes allowed to run and lose because we need a two-party system to hide the Great Corporate Oz controlling both parties. (See the Dems in Congress support of Bush's Bailout Plan...)

More than ever, it seems clear that the corporate candidate, the one with the most Wall Street, Pharma, and Corporate donations - Barack Obama - is being set up to win the Presidency. And Palin is indeed a timebomb whom everybody knew would contribute to this year's GOP loss.

So again, do any of the McCain/Palin supporters feel duped by her choice? Or do you feel she's still a legit candidate? Or do you see it an entirely different way? And if so, why?

"I wonder how the people who are/were considering Palin to be a legitimate candidate feel now."

People actually once considered her a legitimate running-mate, instead of being a partial ploy to secure the democratic female demographic?
