Hemp is an amazing product, and it's criminal that we don't make full use of it. Our forefathers knew its value and used it on many levels.
And we don't care if people drink alcohol. So why should we care if some people smoke pot?

Hemp is THE perfect plant. Bugs don't kill it, so there is no need for chemichals. You can make almost everything out of it, including everything oil is used to make, and it is completely renewable, and renews faster than any other resource. Also, it produces oxygen at a greater rate than any other plant on earth. We can't rid the earth of it, as it grows in thewild.
As for those that smoke weed, you all know damn well they are not violent, and weed doesn't affect driving if you have a tolerance. You know those statistics you hear on accidents involving stoned drivers? They usually don't tell you that most of those stoned drivers, like 80%, were drunk as well. Take that away, and see how many are actually more than fenderbenders.

I'm not sure where you heard that bugs don't kill it, but nearly every plant, even the highly resistant Neem tree are susceptible to insects on some level. Yes some strains are more resistant, and yes you don't need chemicals, although it's true that you don't need chemicals with any plants when grown following organic practices.

Professionally handled, I can see this easily being trimmed down to an hour long time slot. Heck, trimming the music alone may require adding more meat to this morsel. *chuckle*
I wonder, be there any Google friendly compilations/lists floating about of the various official reports and such mandating decriminalization?
