Arab view on DNC
Barack Obama’s choice of Joe Biden as his running mate sent a clear and unpleasant message to the Arab world, as did the absence of former President Jimmy Carter from the lineup of speakers at the Denver convention last week.

Yeah, I was already aware of Biden's position on Israel. As to him being a true Zionist, it is likely. Either he doesn't know what a Zionist is (which means he's dangerously naive for someone occupying the job of VP), or he's very bad news for Palestinians. I'm inclined to think the latter (and possibly both), because he's often declared his aggressive (oppressive) ideas toward other regions of this planet.

Pssssst ... the lands of the Palestinians has been stolen. The Palestinians are being systematically wiped out. Ironic, eh, that the Jews and a sizeable portion of the Western World should be the culprits? No?

That being said, Israel is really pissed off by Biden being against military involvement in Iran.

Nothing wrong with being pro-Israel or supporting that nation. Not to the tune of billions of dollars in military aid, IMHO.

The EU got the right track started with the two-state solution. Of course, the last eight years, we've had an administration that thumbed its nose to the rest of the world. An embarrassment, to say the least.

Oh, and for the record, I am of Jewish heritage. Been atheist for over 30 years.

That said? I was furious with Mr. Bush and his assertion that Iraq had to be invaded because of their failure to comply with UN resolutions. I can name two countries with a bigger record of ignoring UN resolutions: The US and Israel.
