Daily Show: Super News Blaster Breaking News Update: John Edwards
John Edwards -- author of the famed claim that there are two Americas -- was apparently only faithful to his wife in one of them.

Not that anyone cares what I think, but this Edwards strikes me as insincere. Though he doesn't want to be seen as being part of the regular crowd at Washington DC, in my opinion he's not all that different. Look at how long he waited to back Obama (unless I misremember). Only after carefully lying in wait, he put his money on Obama when there could be no doubt anymore.

What set him apart are his promises to fight for the 'common people.' With all those promises, which he presented in a populistic manner, he had to at least do something along those lines when in office (I think). Not that he had much chance; I think his accent played a role.

And now this. What a downright betrayal of a most despicable nature. If he can't be honest with his wife, he sure isn't going to play fair game in office, trust me. Not someone like him. I think he's often blatantly patronizing.

Just my opinion. It hardly matters.

And Bush II ... and his continued 'occupation' of America.

I'm very disappointed that he and his buddies are getting away. And now Obama is America's next hope. Don't make me laugh. He's sure of victory now, and acts like it, but in a bad way. Again and again he has shown no appetite for opposing Bush's wishes (thereby screwing many people), and is also not backing impeachment. He sure as hell won't either when he's President.

But, yeah; whatever you do, I advise everyone not to vote for McCain. At least with Obama you'll live longer.
