Takenoko-zoku once ruled Harajuku but during the last decade they were driven off by the police and later replaced by a younger crowd of Lolita Goth girls.

Some diehards still get together and dance away to old rock-n-roll tunes.

Yeah I remember when there were more of these dudes hanging out near Yoyogi. They were so uncool that they wrapped all the way around and became cool again. Anything done with enough dedication eventually becomes cool.
