Not Working?
This is a hard drive clock built from a 3.5" hard drive, some tri-color LEDs and a PIC16F252 microcontroller. It works by shining the LEDs underneath a platter with a slot cut into it, and by timing the various colors it can produce an analog clock display as well as other patterns.

Re: LED Hard Drive Clock
Pretty tight. Too bad it tells time backward. Without reading the technical stuff, I assume that is a limitation of the direction the hard drive spins

Re: LED Hard Drive Clock
Just set it in a case horizontally with a mirror at 45 degrees. Problem solved.

Re: LED Hard Drive Clock
thats pretty neat!
it sort of sucks that it makes so much noise when it spins.
