Oh c'mon. Bush has not been totally happy. He sacrificed. He gave up golf. So he said, but he's since been seen playing. Oops. So typical of this asswipe.

It is never too late to defend the Constitution.
Re: The Prosecution of George W. Bush
First of all, first degree murder? Obviously if any expert is to state the case against Bush, Vincent Bugliosi is the man. It's just that from where I'm sitting it's rather surprising that one would accuse Bush of that particular crime and not something else.
Secondly, even though I highly doubt that someone who has the full backing of the Republican party behind him as a former president of the US would ever be prosecuted for a murder charge of killing soldiers during a war, I would be elated if Bush was actually brought to trial.

Also, think of the sort of precedent that would it set if the deaths of soldiers deployed by a former president could put him in danger of first degree murder charges. Do you honestly think people would be comfortable with that?

Re: The Prosecution of George W. Bush
Yeah, I think federal treason would be a far more suitable charge than state murder. The guy lied to start a war in order to serve his perceived personal goals, thus wrecking the U.S. world standing, economy, and constitution. Bin Laden couldn't have done nearly as effective a job harming the United States. Trouble is that just about every war the U.S. or any empire ever got into is founded on exaggerated or fabricated pretexts.
A prosecutor would have to show a strong link in each step of a fairly long chain of events for Bush to be personally convicted of murder over this. -- possible, but not likely. Though, judging by his approval ratings, the defense would have to hustle to get a sympathetic jury.
Maybe he'll get picked up in Europe and sent to The Hague for the international crime of aggression. Wikipedia sez, "Wars without international legality (e.g. not out of self-defense, not sanctioned by the United Nations Security Council, and not sanctioned by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations) can be considered wars of aggression..."

it's just like he says it'll all just words, no one will ever touch bush, because he himself is a puppet of more powerful people.
and he won't be able to do anything at all.
