Not Working?
From Stanley Kubrick's 1957's WWI masterpiece, and disputably the best ending of any film ever.
A captured German teenage girl is forced to sing to a roomful of rowdy French soldiers, and surprises them all by bringing them to tears.

A sublime scene. She really does hit them with the proverbial sledgehammer to the head, doesn't she?
A wonderful factoid is that the girl, Susanne Christiane, ended up marrying Kubrick, and they stayed together for life.

Re: Paths Of Glory - Final Scene
Kubrick is the only director who's been able to make me cry with joy at witnessing something sublime, and he's only done it twice, right here at the end of Paths Of Glory and during the Also Sprach Zarathustra segments of 2001: A Space Odyssey, hands down my favorite film of all time.
And then there's The Killing, Spartacus, Doctor Strangelove, Lolita, Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and Eyes Wide Shut.
I mean, what's not to like? The man had something truly special.
