I really don't see what some peoples' problem is with this guy. Ya, he rants a lot about how religion is retarded and sometimes sadistic. But, that's because religion IS retarded and sometimes sadistic.

Do we shoot the messenger just because he's too blunt (genuine) about it? Fuck no.

There's really no point in being sweet when responding to religion. So, if the faithful are offended - too bleeding bad. Pat is only making internet videos to say what he thinks. There is no harm; no one has to change their beliefs.

If the non-faithful are offended, as well - then I ask, why? Why is it a crime to speak out this way? I mean, common... it's religion. Religion HAS to be called out for it's BS, and the ice cream & puppies approach is useless (and boring). Aren't you sick of religions influence on our world? Can't there be a way reduce religion to a personal experience that has ABSOLUTELY no sway on anything that matters? Imagine a magically happy world where no one questions a woman's rights... or a person's race... or lifestyle... and no one tries to take money in the name of a God.

Gee that would be horribly boring, eh?

I'm not saying Pat is some atheist knight in shining armor (not that I care if there is one) but at least he's out there -- getting people thinking. Doesn't matter if he motivates anyone to a change in faith. It's just nice that he expresses what his take is; what he see happening. So what if he's repetitive and abnormally direct; or, enjoys his own patronizing tone (I know I do). So what.

Remember: Pat is not chasing anyone's God away. Not worth getting upset over.

However, if anyone's faith is that easily challenged then they should go off to pray for Pat's salvation, and leave the thinking to their chosen deity.
