Not a perfect shot, but very impressive.

How much older do films get anyway?

Pretty cool to watch this.

depends on what you consider film, but not much. IMDB's first listing is 1888 although there's one of a horse running that I think is earlier but not necessarily film because it was shot with a bunch of single frame camera's.

Sounds like you're talking about Muybridge.

I dont know though. I thought Oakley was a lot better shot than this. I mean she totally missed that guy.

The Little Sure Shot of the Wild West
In 1894, Oakley and Butler performed in Edison's Kinetoscope film, The "Little Sure Shot" of the "Wild West," exhibition of rifle shooting at glass balls, etc.[23] Filmed November 1, 1894, in Edison's Black Maria studio by William Heise (0:21 at 30 fps; 39 ft.),[24] it was about the 11th film made after commercial showings began on April 14, 1894.[25]

Oakley's early movie star opportunity followed from Buffalo Bill and Thomas Edison's friendship, which developed after Edison personally built for the Wild West Show, what in the 1890s was the world's largest electrical power plant.[21] Buffalo Bill and fifteen of his show Indians appeared in two Kinetoscopes filmed September 24, 1894
