Re: TPMtv: McCain's Absolute Disgrace
McCain is lying. Our income tax goes to the national debt, which we can never pay off because the private federal reserve charges interest on the money they print us. Many government institutions are making profit off of their purchases of stock. These institutions collectively owned 70% of the stock market as of 1999. It's on their books, but when they report a deficit (spent more than we had), they don't count this. If we could get rid of the private reserve and bring back gold issued by our government, we wouldn't need to pay any taxes, there wouldn't be inflation, there would be barely any homeless, and people could retire on the government's profits on wall street at 65 or whenever they choose. This is the way our country was before the bankers tricked the people into causing the market crash of '07, leading to the creation of the private federal reserve. Long story short, and there is much proof of this in public record, the British freemasons, many of whom are bankers, on the order of the royal family have infiltrated our government to bring this country to it's knees economically. The private reserve is a conglomerate of major european banks, and they are trying to make us slave, which you are if you are in debt and can never pay it back, as we are.

Some will no doubt accuse you of being a conspiracy theorist. Fact is that you're truly trying to find the real answers, and in so doing rightfully look beyond your nose's length. Your current data may not be completely spot-on, but you'd be a far better candidate for public office than most others. Keep digging.

I have no problem with people who think for themselves. A rare breed these days. But I just didn't understand where most of what was being presented as fact has its basis. Hence, my one syllable question.

Re: TPMtv: McCain's Absolute Disgrace
While it's true that personal income tax goes directly to the Federal Reserve bank (as much a part of the government as Federal Express is...) Americans also pay social security tax that is, in theory, used to pay social security. However congress constantly dips into this fund in order to pay for their useless programs and pork projects. That's the real reason social security is in trouble. The whole "Baby Boomers are going to retire soon!" line of thinking is silly, since baby boomers had their own children who are now working and paying into the system.
Re: TPMtv: McCain's Absolute Disgrace
The Bush administration spun the idea of Social Security being in trouble based on manipulated data provided by the Heritage foundation. You may have heard such assertions as Social Security declining as of 2017 and resultant bankruptcy by 2042. For that projection, the Heritage Foundation worked with some interesting requisite constants in regard to the SS programs revenue. One: that government bonds, in which Social Security is invested, would perform consistently as poorly as they ever have historically. Two: that the average American lifespan would extend to an a ripe 165 years. Three: that the retirement age would remain 65. Bush AND Cheney actually disparaged the trustworthiness of government bonds as an investment, which is, technically, treason. For more info, on this, and many other interesting information, check out Al Franken's two most recent books.
