Re: World War One Footage
Sgt Mckenzie fought off German soldiers with a bayonet only (out of ammo) to defend an injured friend, after taking down a few Germans with his shear prowess he died. The song is sang in Gaelic Scottish
Here are the lyrics to the Song:
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
When they come I will stand my ground
Stand my ground I'll not be afraid
Thoughts of home take away my fear
Sweat and blood hide my veil of tears
Once a year say a prayer for me
Close your eyes and remember me
Never more shall I see the sun
For I fell to a Germans gun
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Where before many more have gone
Here are the lyrics to the Song:
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
When they come I will stand my ground
Stand my ground I'll not be afraid
Thoughts of home take away my fear
Sweat and blood hide my veil of tears
Once a year say a prayer for me
Close your eyes and remember me
Never more shall I see the sun
For I fell to a Germans gun
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Lay me down in the cold cold ground
Where before many more have gone
Where before many more have gone

Re: World War One Footage
It's mind boggling to just think about it: thousands upon thousands of people manifesting in the streets in favor of going to the most hellish war yet fought, all because some two-bit duke, a creep by all historical accounts, was shot by a member of a student organization in Sarajevo. What astonishing levels of stupidity.
