I would have poisoned Billo's coffee. That assassination attempt would probably have failed, however, as he didn't seem to be drinking any of it.

"Hume...I would say he's 'slightly' conservative..." - Bill O'Reilly
<insert laugh track>
The funny thing is that the only person who looks stupid here is Bill O'Reilly.
He clearly can't grasp the conversation at hand. Like when he doesn't understand the basics of Krugman's economic point. Then he gets confused followed by angry like a petulant child when he can't follow the conversation.
Plus O'Reilly keeps calling others people and things he doesn't like, "Stupid." Makes him look very intelligent...
And when posed questions, his fallback - which he clearly believes trumps even the truth - is to say, "look at the ratings."
I'd have loved to be there. Krugman's a nice guy who puts up with way more than I would have. O'Reilly's just a sad little p*ssy whose daddy never loved him. A bully, but nothing more.
I remember when I saw this the first time. I was supremely disappointed in Tim Russert (RIP) that he didn't do his job and facilitate more...

Re: Tim Russert: Paul Krugman vs O'Reilly
Yeah, I gotta admit, I didn't like this clip. The NY Times guy may have written an excellent and accurate book, but he is a snivelling wet noodle here, and not qualified to debate a man like O'Reilly who, ridiculous cockhead that of course he is, is always well prepared for a debate and practiced at talking people down. And yes, the good Tim Russert just sits by - did he forget that this was his show? Is this the sort of show that made him a great journalist?
Sorry Tim. You will be missed.
