Orson Welles' Touch Of Evil - Opening Shot
From 1958, the amazing opening tracking shot from what may be Welles' masterpiece, butchered, buried and long neglected by the studio that made it. Remastered and re-cut in 1998, Touch Of Evil finally got the wide recognition it always deserved.

After the pleasure of watching slack-jawed this magnificent film during its' theatrical re-release (with a Dr Pepper and popcorn with garlic powder on it), I knew exactly where Martin Scorcese got most of his mojo. I'm sure ol' Marty would happily, excitedly admit that Touch Of Evil is his Bible, at least his Old Testament - cinematography, choreography, ambiance, storyline, you name it.

It's sad that once was will never be again. Having said that, I embrace the change, even if it's Idiocracy.
