Things That Can't Go on Forever Don't
Chalmers Johnson explains why the ongoing militarization of the United States of America is a suicide pact. He also makes it quite clear why the Bush administration never attacked Saudi Arabia.

Guys a liar.

Clusterbombs are used against infantry, in wartime, and not by the U.S. in lebanon.

So, in addition to being a pacifist deuche, the guys a liar.

Not quite a liar, though he mis-spoke. The Israelis dropped the US made and supplied cluster bombs on Lebanon.

Pacifism aside, he is correct that the bills will come due. The world has not pulled the rug yet as we all know the US will not go quietly, they will take us all down with them. Iraq was going to go to the Euro, that was the real trigger for the war the US started.

Chalmers Johnson's exact quote was this:

"The thing that interested me is that I got quite a few letters from districts like the 34th district in California, downtown Los Angeles, of people saying, 'God, I wish Cunningham were my congressman. I could use a good job. I don't mind making cluster bombs and using them to drop on innocent Lebanese children. That's what we do in America. We don't make much of anything anymore, but we do make weapons and munitions, and they're good and they're really lethal. And that's what I need is to get in on it.' "

It's quite a stretch to call him a liar over the use of "...and using them..." instead of "...and having them used..." But if you want to get technical, he's characterizing some letters he received, so how do you know he's not accurately describing those letters?

And yes, U.S.-made cluster bombs were dropped by Israel on Lebanese non-combatants, while the U.S. was rushing additional shipments of cluster bombs to Israel. Israel was denying the use of cluster bombs until some unexploded bomblets were identified. And no, there was nothing even remotely resembling "infantry" on the Lebanese side of that "war".

Pacifist or not, he makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Americans would do well to read his book "Nemesis: The Final Days of The American Republic", and stay vigilant. The entire system of constitutional checks and balances is being swept off from under their feet. Do the math, people: Divide 750 TRILLION US dollars by the population of the country! I'm a European and, frankly, reading this filled me with an impending sense of fear...
