Re: Pork and Beans - Weezer
This was written by Cuomo as a reaction to a meeting with Geffen where the band was told it needed to record more-commercial material.

Re: Pork and Beans - Weezer
You mean they wanted something more commercial than their last two albums?

The video was great, by the way. I'm interested to hear the rest of the album, and hope for another Pinkerton.

They will never create another Pinkerton unless Matt Sharp comes back. : /

Who was the girl pulling her hair? I haven't seen that.

I hate to break it to you, but that's not a girl.

Chris Crocker, of "Leave Britney alone!" fame.

Re: Pork and Beans - Weezer
I found out via wikipedia after I commented. :)

I remember seeing the uproar over the video, but my reaction was, "I don't want to hear some person whine about Britney. I don't care," so I never watched it.

Re: Pork and Beans - Weezer
They're back in form - finally! I got worried right around Beverly Hills, and failed to buy anything after that. This is my first taste of the new album, and it sounds pretty good to me.

I'd heard (from PALM Director's DVD set commentary) that they could be hard to work with on videos. Seems like everyone was getting along well enough on this one. Could just be the company they're asked to keep.
