Global Warming or Global Governance?

Not Working?
Is there an agenda that motivates supporters of catastrophic man-made global warming? Are the leaders and advocates really a benevolent confederation of concerned scientists and citizens who simply desire to protect the environment and care for the poor? Or are they being used by others who have a political goal in mind? In this eye opening documentary, Global Warming or Global Governance.

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
A thinking person will want to watch the whole 1 ½ hr video.
Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
Read Boiling Point. It explains how corporations create a false debate around global warming to further their own short term gain. In a move pioneered by tobacco companies, big oil has created a false buzz around global warming claiming the science is flawed. This "what if they are wrong" bullshit is fostered by a media who tries to paint both sides equally. But facts don't need equal time with bullshit... Sigh. We probably already screwed it up too bad.

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
The science is flawed. In fact the 'science' is a joke. The planet hasn't warmed for the last ten years and scientists are now predicting another ten years without warming. 97% of CO2 does not originate from humans. They were predicting an ice age in the 1970s because the temperature was falling. It's always about fear. What about the tens of thousands who die every day due to lack of food/water/etc? Why don't the 'elite' save the people we know are in danger? Why do they just focus on hypothetical fears? Terrorist attacks. Bird flu outbreaks. Peak oil. Iran's alleged nuclear agenda.
The corporations are making a fortune from this global warming hysteria. As is Al Gore. The UN and the so called 'elite' are using it for their world government agenda. Watch the documentary. Research its claims. The facts don't get equal time because they destroy this nonesense. That's why Al Gore has refused to take part in at least two debates (that I'm aware of).

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
Talking about flawed, the evidence presented of a day here or a week there of colder than normal weather does not accurately represent the factually documented global trend.
Who is actually making money off of this scare tactic that you cite? Kindly provide one shred of evidence. On the other hand, why would ExxonMobil have any interest to counter scientific data with the results of their few paid researchers?

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
Re your first point: Is anyone saying that? The trend for the last ten years is no rise in temperature. The trend from 1975 to 1998 was a very small rise in temperature. The trend from 1940 to 1975 was a small fall in temperature (hence the 1970s 'global cooling / coming ice age' paranoia.)
Who's making money? Al Gore for starters. Money from his 'An Inconvenient Truth' movie. 'A.I.T.' book. 'Assault On Reason' book. 'Earth In The Balance' book. Other books including children's books and at least one more on the way. $100,000 - $200,000 for speeches on global warming. He co owns a carbon offsetting company. Plenty more too if you're interested in reasearching this.
I'm no fan of the oil companies and certainly they have a reason to dispute man made global warming but that doesn't mean people aren't making money off this. Research it if you're interested. I'm never going to convince you or anyone else in a comments section on a website.

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
Although I never thought Al Bore was a scintillating guy and certainly never my first choice for US President, I'm not going to begrudge him making a buck. Why should that be offensive to anyone who claims that being a capitalist in this country is a positive attribute?
And quite frankly, to me? The data that's been published in independent scientific journals lends credence to the human activity induced global warming trend theory. I'm no expert. But when oil companies like Chevron and BP start investing in wind, geothermal and renewable biofuels, isn't that kind of the nail in the coffin as far as competing arguments go?
Additionally, as others have pointed out in the past, what's wrong with producing less emissions and airborne pollutants? The worst result is cleaner air.
Finally, we have to admit that the supply of fossil fuels is finite. If theres enough to last the next 100 years or next 1000 years doesn't matter. Simply not planning for the future is sticking your head in the sand and dooming our grandchildren to a far more difficult existence than is necessary.

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
Blighty, I suggest you try to ground your assertions.
Just because you've read something written on the internet doesn't mean you've done research. Talk to the geologists studying ice-cores, the botanists and entomologists seeing genetic variance across shifting ecosystems, and the atmospheric chemists--much better equipped than any "filmmaker" to apply fundamental physics principles to the interaction of atmospheric gases with our tens of millions of TONS of emissions spewed into the air every day.
I don't disagree that there are political players who try to manipulate public perception in order to suit their own agendas. But please don't let such often-malevolent behavior among some blind you to the earnest hard work and integrity of others.

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
the major issue with this kind of documentary is that its so blatantly political in nature and so very onesided that the supposed 'facts' about the science behind it loses some credibility.
Moreover it's boring, visually bland, it's basically 2 bad documentaries glued together, the rhetoric is wild and poorly constructed, etc, etc..
I did find the find the some of the reasoning supporting the supposed link between the IPCC and 'global governance' slightly compelling (last 20min).
overall : crap propaganda, nothing more

Re: Global Warming or Global Governance?
Blatantly political, boring propaganda - just like "An Inconvenient Truth."
It takes mention of the Builderbergers to get people around here to realize that Gorebal Worming is a scam?
