You watch Ed Wood, and you think, "They're over doing it. No one ever made a movie that bad in earnest." But the thing is, they actually got the scenes from 'Plan 9...' dead on. It amazing how close they come to the actual shots.

Yeah, the movie Ed Wood is even cooler when you've been watching the original "Plan 9 from outer space". At this time, i didn't know the original picture. So i've first seen EdWood. Then Plan 9 by curiosity. And finally EdWood again just for the amazement.
