"The media has [sic] to tell the truth."
In answer to that, Fox Lady says "I think you're absolutely right about that."

Re: "Manufacturing Dissent" on Fox News
The documentary is worth watching. Moore is no better than those he opposes. They are all spineless elitist swine who must be forced out of the game by the citizenry before they do us all in.

Re: "Manufacturing Dissent" on Fox News
How do we know the interviewer cut the interview short? Do we have access to Fox copy?
Playing advocate aside - Moore's lies of omission were plainly obvious in all of his docu-dramas. Now as someone who was appreciative of an "advocate" I'm forced to wonder if he's just another puppet for special interest groups and subjects himself to the mass-media persuasion.
Is there anyone with pure motives? Where have all the cowboys gone?

Re: "Manufacturing Dissent" on Fox News
Heh, I know you're alluding to the pure nature of the romantic western version of 'cowboy,' but the original cowboys were an outlaw gang of cattle-rustlers and murderers...
I caught your meaning, but you have to admit it's an ironic metaphore.

Re: "Manufacturing Dissent" on Fox News
Actually, that is incorrect. Sure, there is a romanticized version of cowboys, but they
were not "an outlaw gang of cattle-rustlers and murderers..." Being a cowboy was a job. Before the West was settled cattle was driven from Texas to Kansas to shipped by train to markets in the East. It was a dirty, dangerous and tough job. I won't say that they were all angels however.

Re: "Manufacturing Dissent" on Fox News
He was referring to the Cowboy Gang, of the Earp-Clanton feud. I don't know that that's were the term 'cowboy' originated, but it probably popularized it a bit.

Re: "Manufacturing Dissent" on Fox News
Who does Moore oppose? Last I heard, Micheal Moore doesn't claim to be a fair and balanced 'news' organization.

Re: "Manufacturing Dissent" on Fox News
Never been able to understand why so many people are willing to give so much credence to the opinions of this man. He is not exceptionally intelligent, lacks credentials in every subject he has chosen to discuss thus far, and regardless of the subject he claims in a given week, his message never changes, never grows. Someone explain please?
