Would've been up earlier if youtube didnt change their policy. Now you can only upload 10 minute videos. Took me forever I've got the full episode in flash at about 45 megs if anyone has a suggestion where i can post it. zippyvideos is screwing up so forget them.

The only bit that was actually funny was when the flashed the words "This is what the Super Adventure Club actually believes" on the screen. The whole episode was a big Fuck You to Isaac Hayes for being such a freaking hypocrite. I'm glad they did it, but it just wasn't funny.

I don't watch South Park much, so maybe it's not been overplayed to me - but I laughed at the little clip.

There is apparently some controversy over this issue.
January 6, 2006: The Onion's AV Club interviews Hayes, and although he has something to say on the subject, he isn't hopping mad:

It gets a little dicey after this. News reports as early as 1/13 and as late as the 17th state Hayes quit, but reports also indicate he suffered a stroke at about the same time.
Speculate.

The appropriate question would not be 'what is it with Americans and "religious cults"', but 'why will people do anything for something to believe in?'
Americans are pretty stupid on the whole, yes, but that doesnt exclude the rest of the world from being complete nutjobs where cults and sects* are concerned.
