Zero Wing Rhapsody
The infamous dialogue that gave us "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" and "Somebody Set Up Us The Bomb" is now set to Queen's song, "Bohemian Rhapsody".

You try fitting fifteen lines of dialogue into a ten minute song. The sheer talent required to pull this off is mind boggling. And then they animated it.

I still think it would be easy to fit this into any song out there if you just keep repeating short sentences or fragments, it can't be too hard to just sing "main screen turn on--mainscreen turn on mainscreeeen turn on" etc stuff like that... you get the point!

Yes, it is easy to break up syllables to fit them into a song. But to do it in such a way that not only do they fit the meter but so the parts sung are consistent with who has what dialogue. I don't know what kind of background you have in lyric writing, but I can tell you from experience that fitting a sentance to prewritten music is a lot tougher than it sounds. Especially if you have multiple melodies overlaying it, as is the case in Bohemian Rhapsody.
Seriously, don't knock it until you've tried it. I have, and I need to give these guys major kudos not only for doing such a good job at it, but for having the balls to do it.

Re: Zero Wing Rhapsody
Great idea, bad execution. It sounded awful, and the repetition was terribly painful to sit through.
Awful.
Awful.
