I take it that Tom's views have not been widely accepted by the scientific community.

I'd like to hear what he has to say about the image of Mary on the Grilled Cheese.

Surely there must be a tiny intelligent civilization living on our bread!

The fact is that humans are biologically wired to detect faces. It helps us to instantly recognizing others in our species.

Glass tubes? I'm no expert, but could it be ice?

The "T"? There are a lot of rocks here on earth that look like penises. The T doesn't surprise me. Besides the fact, why would an ancient Martian civilization just so happen to use the greco-roman alphabet? Someone needs to think his speech through before he goes ranting off on every speculation he has.

The "triangles"? He says it himself - shadows cast from a field of rocks and debris.

Granted, I'm extremely biased on the whole issue, but come on. Let's not jump the gun here on the whole life on other planets issue. It's highly unlikely that any besides us had developed in our solar system's life span, let alone any that looked like us and were so vain that they decided to build large scale replicas of their faces.

Re: Life on Mars? - New Scientific Evidence
This is a joke. These images are so heavily processed (By altering the contrast etc), that they would look nothing like that too the eye.

Basically, he's taken all of the many many images of Mars' surface. Fiddled around with them and selected anything which doesn't just look like a rock.

Would be interesting what a similar analysis would be like from under the earth's seas.
