Re: Countdown: McIdiot Versus the Truth
I love how the younger Bush predicts what will happen if the US occupation of Iraq comes to an end. Like he's been right in every one of his other predictions.
Ladies, gentlemen... let's pay attention to reality instead of worthless rhetoric.

Fuck it! Why bother watching television when all it does is shovel out bullshit. Seems like politicians have a hobby of connecting dots from middle eastern countries to 'evil' terrorist organizations. And sometimes they like to ice the cake by hooting and screeching about WMDs.

I don't understand why we Americans continue to vote for politicians when we know there's no accountability and their rhetoric isn't worth the microphones they speak into. All wrapped up in the nationalist hoo-haw, we perpetuate a broken system, then wonder why it burns us. I refuse to register to vote until the system is fixed.

Re: Countdown: McIdiot Versus the Truth
What do you think you're accomplishing by *not* registering to vote? That's a protest no one will hear, a protest no one will recognize, and is utterly useless. Funny how it's also the easiest course of action that requires the least amount of effort from you.
Why not actually DO something? Register to vote (seriously, it's just stupid not to) and vote in every single election and primary. Write letters to your representatives, start and sign petitions to combat the laws and practices that you disagree with.
You will accomplish absolutely nothing by just sitting back and refusing to participate. It's not a soccer game where, if you and enough of your friends sit out, no one else will be able to play. The game will go on anyway and the only people playing will be precisely those you don't want on the field.
If you don't register and don't vote, who do you think will be voting instead? Everyone that agrees with you, or the ones that don't? Are those the people that you want to be deciding what laws and leaders you have to live under?
