I actually enjoyed his performance in Cable guy. But he's a one trick pony, like Tom Green. "HEY! LOOK AT ME!"

Jim Carrey is pretty much in the same catagory as Steve Martin: An actor who plays the part of being an actor. Sure, some of Jim's movies were stupid, but they were supposed to be. He also had some very insightfull roles in many films. He is mostly remembered for "Cable Guy", "Pet Dective", and "Joe VS the Volcano".
Jim does serious stuff, too. Ever watch "The Bob Show"?
Jim Carrey, for what it's worth, has given amusment to generations. Don't sell the man short. After all, he generated a few comments here at M&C.
