Alice in Wonderland: Sammy Davis Jr as the Cheshire Cat
Sammy Davis Jr.

as the Cheshire Cat sings "What's a Nice Kid Like You Doing in a Place Like This?" to Alice (Janet Waldo).

From the 1966 Hanna-Barbera TV special, Alice in Wonderland.

I've very personal interest in this Alice in Wonder-Rexall Land,

as I believe my father may have worked on the show or at least its promo items, as well as the Alice of Disney movie and lots of other things.

He was Don(ald) R.aka Arr Christensen,

who you can find in Wikipedia and many comic sites, googled.

Dad died Oct.'06 at age of 90,& I've been helping Mom clear out 65 yrs of his work for nearly every animation studio and more. Yipes, didn't realize how incredibly prolific he was! Unfortunately, back in those golden days, many talented folks didn't get the credit they deserved, so his work is hard to track sometimes.

My question for any of you regards a (collectible?) item I don't know how to value or what to do with:

It's an Alice/Rexall promotional 'tray':

horizontal orientation, L 9" x H 7",

somewhat opaque but still see-thru, dark smoked glass background;

with Alice holding 'Fluffy', and

the Hatter, White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat running across the tray;

amongst playing cards, flowers

and the title & subtitle text, Rexall ID and date of show,

and Hanna-Barbera 1965 copyright credit at bottom;

4-color process (yellow, pinkish, light blue and white,

with black bleed-thru details.

Would any of you have any interest in it? or know someone who would, or how to find suitable site for me to post it on?

Or, would e-Bay be the way to go, at auction?

I've no idea what it might be worth (or not) but promised Mom I'd do what I can for her, as dad's life-long health made him uninsurable, and she at 89 is worried about outlasting her resources.

Someday, when I have the time, I want to create a tribute website,

but for now my life's as down the rabbit hole as Alice's!

I'll sure appreciate any comments or leads you can lend me. Many Thanks!
