Cookies in Space shows a space creature whose lost his milk and cookies. The planets look like cookies and the Milky Way is especially milk like.

New Theme: Cookies in Space

To use the new theme, simply go to the Themes page and click the “Change to Cookies in Space Theme” button.

This theme is a candidate to be the default MilkandCookies theme, replacing the current default theme: Master Monkey Bakers. Discuss.

To make it easier to include the basic factual details for a link, and include your own subjective opinions, we added a comment field to the Submit Link page.

We also fixed a bug which kept users from being able to view links they had favorited more than once. You can now only favorite a link once (makes sense) and the existing duplicates have been removed.

And after favoriting a link you see a list of other users who have also favorited the same link.

I vote for cookies in space, but I think thats obvious. I've heard a lot of gripes about the monkeys, is anyone reading this married to them as the default? Would m&c "just not be the same" without monkeys?

Basically the Monkeys theme is controversial -- people either love it or hate it -- we are looking to a less polarizing theme to be the default.

All themes will be available, but only one can be the default.

We will be making Cookies in Space the default theme later this week unless we hear objections or better solutions.

We also welcome feedback about issues with this, and all themes, to make them better. ;)

As much as I love monkeys (not in that way!) I must vote for the space theme. The colors have a cooler feel and don't bite at you like the oranges of the monkeys. But I will miss their grinning faces. Maybe hide one in a planet's surface? ;)
